President and Founder

Pragnesh Bhatt is the President and Founder of Saavi Financial Group, a financial practice that focuses on providing holistic financial strategies to families, business owners, and high net worth individuals developing customized strategies that address both their financial and estate planning needs. The Company is built on a foundation of exceptional client service, trust, integrity, and open and honest communication. He firmly believes that a solid strategic financial foundation is a powerful possession that offers a sense of peace and freedom.

For the last 10 years, Pragnesh has been a successful financial professional with New York Life Insurance Company, one of the largest life insurers in the world and a company that has consistently received high ratings for financial strength from all four major rating agencies. Pragnesh was born in India and moved to the United States in 1985 with his parents at the young age of 8. Growing up, he saw first-hand the struggles and hardship his parents experienced as first-generation immigrants adjusting to a new country. He learned early on, the value of hard work, sacrifice, determination and the real importance of planning early. It was very important to him to make sure that the new generations coming to this country does not make the same mistakes his parents made growing up.

Prior to his work in the financial industry, Pragnesh earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Maryland with a minor in Finance. He embarked on his career as a financial professional with New York Life in 2010. Within his first year, through hard work and a willingness to learn, and ongoing education, he quickly excelled and was the class leader of 2010. In the succeeding years, Pragnesh has climbed the ranks having earned Chairman's Council from 2018-2019. Chairman's Council reflects high levels of production at New York Life.

Pragnesh resides in Columbia, MD with his wife, Puja and son, Avi. When he is not working hard for his clients, Pragnesh enjoys spending quality time traveling with his family. He enjoys exercising and cooking on the weekends to help relax and get ready for the upcoming week.

Mark Jansen is a Corporate Vice President and Advanced Planning Consultant for New York Life Insurance Company.

Mark is an engaging presenter and skillful consultant, collaborating with agents, their clients and their clients’ professional advisors in the areas of estate, tax and business succession planning.

Mark joined New York Life with over twenty years’ experience in the financial services industry. He has worked with prominent life insurance companies as advanced marketing counsel; and, in several positions for the design and sales of variable and investment-driven insurance products. He has also marketed insurance products through banks and credit unions.

Mark brings a creative and comprehensive approach to using insurance products in estate and business planning. He is known for his practical teachings and conversational style of presentation, speaking frequently to groups about the proper use of insurance in buy-sell agreements and estate plans. Mark’s collaborative approach and technical knowledge positions him as a skillful and insightful specialist.

Mark received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School (cum laude); and, began his professorial career in the tax department of a nationally prominent accounting firm.
